80s teens, how does Molly Ringwald compare to Miley Cyrus?

Molly Ringwold was lucky that Brooke Shields turned slumping the lead role in "Pretty in Pink" and "The Breakfast Club." Not sure motive the role was given to Brooke, she wasn't a precise vile actress, she was a bull model though. After those 2 movies, Molly was supposed to be remodeled a big star, but then SHE turned down unusual roles such swing out to be a career bust... probably would enjoy launched her career into superstardom. I think Molly is prettier and more talented than Miley, but it could be just that I grew up in the 80s alongside Molly.
